GALLOWAY, NJ, MARCH 2, 2016 â€“ The Stockton Performing Arts Center in conjunction with The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company is proud to announce Stockton Playhouseâ€™s delightful lineup: Roald Dahlâ€™s â€śJames and the Giant Peachâ€ť on July 20th, â€śThe Princess and the Pirateâ€ť on July 27th; and â€śPinkalicious The Musicalâ€ť on August 3rd.
Show time is 10:30 a.m. and will be presented in the Campus Theatre, located in the Campus Center. Roald Dahlâ€™s beloved classic takes the stage in a new musical that is perfect for the entire family.Â One boy, two awful aunts, five larger-than-life insects, and a giant peach!Â What happens when magic crystals cause a withered old tree to create the largest and most magnificent peach ever seen?Â Luckily, a boy named James and a handful of bugs just happen to be nearby when the peach finally snaps free of its stem, and it sweeps them along on a marvelous adventure.Â From Tony-nominated creators Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

A World Premiere Production! Â What do you think happens when a Princess lives right next door to a Pirate? Â Itâ€™s not easy staying prim, proper and polite with so much swashbuckling going on in your neighborâ€™s backyard! Â Tea time turns into a food fight, a phony treasure map leads to a royal abduction and a storm at sea brings more trouble than anybody bargained for! Â But with a little imagination, Captain Jackson and Princess Cecily figure out how to turn their rivalry into an unlikely friendship.
Wednesday, August 3rd â€“ â€śPinkalicious The Musicalâ€ť
Pinkalicious loves pink and wants everything in her life to be pink.Â Her dream is to radiate pink.Â After over indulging in pink cupcakes, she wakes up pink. She is thrilled to be pink and have her dream come true.
Her parents take her to the doctor, and she is diagnosed with pinkititis.Â On the way home, Pinkalicious plays at the playground but is attacked by birds and bees when she is mistaken for a pink flower.Â Her best friend doesn’t even recognize her as she is camouflaged in the garden.Â At home, she eats another cupcake, and the next morning she wakes up red and develops pink eye pinkititis whereby she can only see the color pink.Â Now she must do something to fix her predicament.
She bravely follows the doctor’s order to eat green food.Â Due to her new resolve, Pinkalicious is transformed back to normal.Â Pinkalicious has learned self-control and to be careful for what you wish for.Â Her brother, on the other hand, has eaten the last cupcake, turns pink, and shouts with glee: Pink-A-Boo!
